Enterprise Profile

El Questro

Amid the vast and ancient landscape of Western Australia’s East Kimberley region sits the untamed natural beauty of El Questro. El Questro is a destination unlike any other and offers the freedom to explore one of Australia’s last true frontiers. From deep gorges and majestic mountains to thermal springs, mud and salt-flats, rainforests and cascading waterfalls everything the Kimberley has to offer is located across the property’s 700,000 acres and is why we say that El Questro is the heart of the Kimberley.

El Questro has unique accommodation to suit every budget. You can live it up at the acclaimed Homestead, nestle into a glamping cabin at Emma Gorge, or enjoy nature right from your bungalow verandah at The Station.

The Homestead

Nestled within the Kimberley’s vast and ancient landscape and hidden amongst burnt-orange cliffs and lush, green lawns sits El Questro Homestead, a pocket of luxurious exclusivity where you’re encouraged to make yourself at home.

Emma Gorge

Immerse yourself in the picturesque landscape of the rocky, red Cockburn Ranges at Emma Gorge.

Sleep under canvas with the soothing sounds of the local wildlife surrounding you.

The Station

Located on the banks of the Pentecost River, The Station is the busy central hub of El Questro, where air-conditioned accommodation and sprawling campgrounds share landscaped lawns and gardens, with facilities that cater to all Station guests.

Experience El Questro Station a little closer to nature with one of our camping options.

Station tents are fully equipped with a cosy bed, power, towels, outdoor dining setting and fans.

There's no shortage of activities in this vast part of the world. Tackle a gorge walk with refreshing waterfall finish, perhaps try your luck fishing for that elusive Barramundi, or soak away the hours in the thermal hot spring. You won't be disappointed!

Happy Customers

"Amazing wilderness Kimberley experience. The park is stunningly beautiful with natural unspoilt outback scenery. We visited Zebedee Springs, Emma Gorge, Pigeon Hole Lookout and did The Chamberlain Gorge boat trip and Explosion Gorge and Brankos Lookout tours. The rangers have great knowledge of the region and provide entertaining commentary. Finished our trip with a helicopter ride over the gorges. Wow! The Cantina and The Swinging Arm Bar have good food and ice cold drinks. Great fun to visit "
"The Gorge itself is absolutely beautiful, you have to see it yourself to understand the extent of its beauty. The wildlife is amazing, everything from freshwater crocodiles, fish and bird life also the flora is next level. The boat and walking tour is not only informative but also entertaining. The guides have all their on individual characters which is on display with their interpretations of the gorge. Well worth the money."
